Intensives are a unique approach to therapy that compresses the equivalent of several months of weekly sessions into a shorter, more concentrated timeframe. These sessions are tailored to your specific needs and can be incredibly beneficial for:
Benefits of Intensives:
How do Intensives work?
We'll work with you to design a customized intensive experience that meets your unique needs and goals. This may include a combination of individual sessions, couple/family/friend sessions, and experiential activities.
To reduce barriers from third parties on services, a Pay-What-You-Can Model is implemented. This is when the customary fees for a service are not able to be sustainably consistent for a consumer’s ability to pay. This is not the same as a sliding-scale fee schedule. An agreement is made between the service provider and the consumer as to what an appropriate amount would be. This model is available to all consumers, regardless of the service they are receiving.
If you’d like to work with our providers at a reduced rate, there are some additional steps you will need to take with Open Path before we schedule our first appointment.
The first step is to fill out the confidential online registration form. Registration can be completed in under 10 minutes. Please note that members pay a one-time fee of $65 to join Open Path.
Once you register, you’ll receive an Open Path Member ID email, which you can forward to me. At that time, we can schedule our first session together. We’ll decide on the rate within the Open Path range at that point in time.
If you would like to determine what the session fee will be before you join Open Path, please let me know and we can figure that out together.
If you have any questions or concerns about the membership process, Open Path can be reached directly at info@openpathcollective.org or 1-800-268-2833.

Geek therapy refers to the use of geek or pop culture elements, such as video games, comics, movies, TV shows, and other forms of entertainment, as a therapeutic tool. The idea is to leverage the shared language and interests of geek culture to connect with individuals and help them explore, understand, and address psychological and emotional issues.
Geek therapy can take various forms, including individual or group therapy sessions, workshops, and interventions. Therapists who specialize in geek therapy often use elements of popular culture to facilitate discussions, build rapport, and create a comfortable environment for their clients. This approach can be particularly effective with clients who identify strongly with geek culture, as it provides a context that is meaningful and relevant to them.
The key is to use the shared interests of geek culture to explore and address mental health issues, personal challenges, and interpersonal relationships. This form of therapy recognizes that individuals may find solace, identity, and meaning in the narratives and characters of geek culture, making it a valuable resource for therapeutic exploration and growth.
